A baraat is a celebratory wedding procession for the groom involving live music and dancing. This is a fun traditional custom.
The ceremony will take place under a canopy-like structure called a mandap. The ceremony will be officiated by a Hindu priest. The bride and groom will be seated in front of the priest for most of the ceremony and numerous relatives will perform specific roles under the priest’s guidance.
Dress Code: Formal Indian or Formal Western Attire
Please refrain from wearing red on this day as this color is reserved for the bride.
